We were delighted to participate in an inspiring morning in Paris, where leading French Investor Relations Officers gathered to explore the rapidly evolving dynamics of the global IR profession. The event, hosted by FTI Consulting France, provided a platform for a rich and forward-looking discussion on how Investor Relations continues to transform into a strategic, value-creating function in France and beyond.
FTI Consulting’s Arnaud de Cheffontaines welcomed an expert panel featuring Oskar Yasar, who shared his insights into his book, The Global Investor Relations Revolution, alongside two of France’s most respected IR leaders: Amit Bhalla, SVP and Head of Investor Relations at Schneider Electric, and Renaud Lions, SVP Investor Relations at TotalEnergies.

Together, the speakers shared candid insights into how the IR role has matured significantly in recent years – both in complexity and influence. They discussed the increasing sophistication of the function inside major French listed companies, highlighting how today’s IROs act as strategic advisors to CEOs, CFOs and Boards, shaping corporate narratives and enabling more informed executive decision-making.
The session explored several themes from The Global Investor Relations Revolution, including talent expectations, the shifting regulatory environment, the expanding skillset required of modern IR leaders, and the growing importance of data-driven communication in capital markets.
