Oskar Yasar joins the Queer Britain Museum Board
We’re delighted to announce that Oskar Yasar has been appointed as a co-opted member of the Queer Britain Museum Board, building on his role as Chair of the museum’s newly created Development Board.
Queer Britain is the UK’s first national LGBTQ+ museum, a cultural landmark in the heart of King’s Cross and a living archive of the stories, artefacts and voices that have shaped, and continue to shape, LGBTQ+ life and history.
As Chair of the Development Board, Oskar works with philanthropists, patrons, donors and corporate partners to help secure the museum’s next phase of development and growth, building stronger connections between this extraordinary institution and the corporate and business communities.
Oskar joins the Museum Board alongside Lycia Lobo, Chief Operating Officer of the Design Museum, who is Chair of the Queer Britain Trading Board. The Trading Board supports the museum’s commercial activities and revenue generation, including its retail operation and events programme. Both Oskar and Lycia donate their time, experience and expertise to support Queer Britain and its future.
You must visit!
If you haven’t yet been to Queer Britain, we would strongly encourage you to visit. The stories are powerful. The history is urgent. The impact is real. It really is a remarkable, unique and special place.
And there are many ways to become part of its future. Queer Britain is actively looking to engage with corporate partners, individual donors and business leaders who believe these stories must be preserved and want to support an institution of genuine cultural significance.
If you or your organisation would like to support Queer Britain through corporate partnership, philanthropy or an individual contribution, please get in touch with Oskar or learn more HERE.
Let’s help build something that lasts, preserves an extraordinary history and makes a difference for generations to come.
